My Mission
To promote the experience of authentic healing through the utilization of evidence-based practices by providing a space where people feel empowered to overcome their fears and experience deep love in their most vulnerable places, ultimately changing the way they experience themselves and the world.
The Human Body has an innate ability to heal
At Troy Fulford Therapy and Marriage Enrichment, I lean into the science and wisdom of the body, viewing the human person as a social bonding mammals designed to survive and thrive in the context of strong, supportive bonds. From the perspective of attachment theory, priority is given to the role of affect regulation and connection with others as the core defining features of mental health and well-being.
I help clients understand the pattens that keep them stuck, reconnect with their emotions, and create stronger, more secure bonds that help them move from protection and survival toward healing, growth, and lasting change to instill safe, sane, and sound lives.
My Core Values
Honor
Connection
Reverence
Freedom
I seek to recognize and respect the unique experiences, emotions, and needs that each person brings into the room. Honor creates the foundation of safety and trust from which healing and meaningful connection can grow.
Healing happens in relationship. We are wired for emotional connection, and meaningful change often begins when we experience safety and belonging with others.
Committing to therapy is a huge accomplishment as it usually entails engaging your difficulties and pain. Your story, with all of the hurt and pain, is sacred and will be treated as such in our work together.
True freedom is not the absence of need or dependence, but the ability to live and love from a place of security rather than protection. As emotional wounds heal and connection deepens, we become more free to be ourselves and engage others with openness and courage.
Diversity Statement
Troy Fulford Therapy and Marriage Enrichment is an organization committed to creating a climate where all clients feel safe and cared for, with their vulnerability and human need for connection honored as sacred. I follow all appropriate ethical codes and will never, under any circumstance, enforce any personal bias or beliefs on a client. I strive to cultivate a space of authenticity, compassion, and connection with all clients regardless of faith, race, sex, orientation, ethnicity, age, political preference or ability.
